
It’s strangely beautiful from this height in both expanse and symmetry. Atlanta, GA is known as “Sprawl City” in some circles because of its dependence on the automobile. Of course, huge freeways require enormous structures for turning and interchanging, and that’s where spaghetti junction comes in. Note how there are four areas completely cut off from each other geographically only yet a few hundred meters apart, separated by concrete, speeding metal, and some landscaping.

I guess if you build such a road system you want to make sure people use it.
I’ve been stuck in traffic there more times than I can imagine. It’s something to see cars and trucks going over you in all kinds of ways while you wait forever for others to go ahead of you.

That’s a whole lot of helpful information, and a really nice picture too, but do you know by any chance about how much concrete they used to build it?
